At our Center, we provide consultation and treatment for pediatric eye disorders and adults and children with strabismus (eye muscle problems). This includes all general eye problems in children from simple refractive error and pink eye to complex eye strabismus. Adults have double vision from strokes, accidents, and other eye problems such as retinal detachments. In clinic, we approach each patient with specialized attention and assess the problems for appropriate diagnosis and treatment strategies. The central theme to all activities is that the patient comes first.
Maintaining patient confidentiality is important to us. It is required by the Federal Government that anyone seeking medical care be notified of the HIPAA (Health Information Protection and Accountability Act) rules and regulations. Surgical Expertise
Dr. Wright has over 25 years expertise and experience in strabismus surgery and eye surgery in children. During his career, he has developed a number of techniques now used by other physicians. Most notably is the silicone tendon expander for the treatment of Brown’s syndrome. His procedure revolutionized the surgical approach to treating this complex strabismus and has greatly improved surgical outcomes.
Minimally Invasive Eye Muscle Surgery
Dr. Wright has developed numerous new techniques to improve the outcomes of eye muscle surgery. An area Dr. Wright is presently pioneering is minimally invasive strabismus surgical techniques. These techniques shorten surgery time, reduce scarring, are more precise, and can usually be done with topical anesthesia thus eliminating the risk of general anesthesia. Some techniques can even be performed in office and take only a few minutes.
